Red Bend's vDirect Mobile® is an OMA-DM compliant and interoperable device management client for mobile phones and wireless devices in the mobile, WiMAX and machine-to-machine (M2M) markets. It is used to provision new subscribers, configure applications and network settings, manage software, retrieve device information and deliver firmware updates over the air (FOTA). vDirect Mobile has been licensed by more than 45 leading device manufacturers, including Sony Ericsson, Kyocera, Sierra Wireless, Telit Wireless Solutions and ZTE for mobile handsets, PC cards, WiMAX modems and M2M modules.
vDirect Mobile allows manufacturers and operators to remotely manage mobile devices in the field. It is standards-based software that works with any Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) device management (DM) server and has passed interoperability tests (IOT) with 15 DM server vendors. As the leading independent DM client, vDirect Mobile enables manufacturers and operators to break the dependency of closed DM systems.
