Software Management Client: How it Works
vRapid Mobile® Software Management Client centrally monitors the full inventory of applications purchased from app stores or side-loaded, which enables it to gain valuable insight into consumer behavior and preferences. The Software Management Client enables service providers to deploy branded application packs with a consistent user experience to unlocked handsets; provision new services to existing subscribers without depending on handset replacement cycles; install, remove and manage built-in and user-downloaded applications; and perform efficient application and operating system updates to provide new features and performance improvements.
vRapid Mobile Software Management Client supports OMA standards and communicates with vRapid Manager Software Management Center and with any standards-based DM client that supports SCOMO, such as Red Bend’s vDirect Mobile® DM Client. In addition to application installations and updates, the Software Management Client works with FOTA update installers, such as Red Bend’s market-leading vRapid Mobile FOTA software.
