Nokia Makes FOTA Easier to Use and Showcases FOTA Demos

Nokia has made finding and performing firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updates easier for mobile consumers. Nokia consumers can now press *#0000# to quickly check their software version. Plus, Nokia has added a new application that automatically checks for software updates on a scheduled basis.

Nokia highlights several FOTA videos on the "Nokia Conversations" Web site. The first video focuses on why Nokia has embraced FOTA and what benefits it provides to their consumers. The second and third videos demonstrate how the FOTA updating process works on a variety of mobile phones, including the N96 and N79.
