Sierra Wireless Inc. Richmond, B.C., and Red Bend Software, Waltham, Mass., announced they will enter into a partnership agreement in which Sierra Wireless will provide Red Bend’s device management solution, vDirect Mobile, with its embedded modules and machine-to-machine technology.
“Device management has become increasingly important to our customers and provides significant benefits in terms of ease of use,” says Evan Jones, vice president, engineering, Sierra Wireless. Jones adds the primary reasons the company choose Red Bend as a licensee was Red Bend’s experience in the mobile and M2M markets and standards-based interoperability.”
