Red Bend adds partners and pushes its FOTA business into the mobile Linux space

We like that Red Bend continues to add functionality to its core FOTA and SCOTA platforms. Though the current mobile Linux hardware market is small relative to the rest of the mobile device world, that will change; it offers Red Bend an inevitable future revenue stream. The new Trolltech relationship is very interesting. It is worth repeating here that Red Bend is already Nokia's FOTA partner. While Trolltech provides Red Bend with its own 5,000-plus customer base to target, having yet another connection to Nokia certainly won't hurt Red Bend's ongoing market penetration. Look for the company to surpass the 300 million devices mark soon. That is a lot of hardware Red Bend can count on to ensure that its revenue streams remain healthy.
